I have been a member of the Community Consolidated School District 146 Board of Education since 2003, serving as president from 2007-2011. I have been a volunteer and committee member at District 146 since 1993.

I was a founding member of the Stevenson Local School Council in Chicago from 1989-1993.

I served as a Orland Township Trustee from 1997-2001. We lowered thetownship property tax rate from .08 to .067 during my term.

I have been a volunteer coach for the Tinley Park Bobcats since 1996.
