I am a married mother of two boys (16 & 12) and consider myself an Orland Park "lifer" having moved to this sleepy town in 1971 from the big city (86th and Wood).

Forty years ago, I was a kindergartener who thought I had moved to a farm. Yep, way back when Orland Park was just a wide open space; a far cry from the congested franchise paradise it has since become.

Sure traffic around town is ridiculous, but I trade the aggravation it brings for the highlights of living in the Golf Capital of the World.

Orland Park offers  wonderful schools, a fantastic Recreation Department,  a phenomenal Library, beautiful parks and ball fields, walking trails, a refreshing pool to dip into over on Fun Lane, festivals, Farmer's Market, and yes, plenty of restaurants and shopping.

When I was growing up in Orland I often complained I had nothing to do.  As a tired mother all these years later I find I have too much to do thanks to the kids I haul around from one end of our village to the other.

Spending most of my day behind the wheel, I see a lot.  And that is the purpose of my blog.  I hope to share what I see in my adventures around town and the clowns I observe along the way with my readers with my humorous and sarcastic point of view.
